Living Life in Reverse

Thanks for stopping by my site to learn a bit more about me. Throughout my career I’ve been beyond fortunate to work for and be mentored by leaders who saw potential in me that I didn’t see in myself. I’ll dispense with the lengthy bio and career experiences – there are so many places where that information already resides that it seems silly to force you to read it all over again.

Something you won’t find in my profiles and bios anywhere else is this simple fact. I’m like Benjamin Button, living life in reverse.

I had a long and successful corporate career but rarely was able to speak or present publicly. Moving to start-ups in the security solution changed that, dramatically. I found myself in entirely new waters having to learn a host of new skills and knowledge.

How venture capital and private equity work. How to take a company public (which I got to help do), how security solutions companies and their founders view the world and their market and how to navigate a young start-up through the challenging waters of growth. And I still have an enormous amount to learn.

After leaving a career path that I assumed I would retire from, now I’m learning something new every day and having a blast! Living life in reverse.

Balance is important in my life – something I had to learn from personal tragedy. I try to live a life with “fewer anchors and more adventures”. The outdoor photos that you see on this website are all from adventures that my wife and I have enjoyed since moving to the western U.S. Whether it is hiking the Grand Canyon or chasing a headline act at the next music festival, experiencing life beyond work and conferences and the next media quote is infinitely more important and valuable.

My goal and professional mission statement that guides me is “making the digital world safer for everyone”. And my passion is in helping everyone find and exercise their voice in their respective industry and area of expertise. If I can help you with either, on your journey, just ask.
